This path - signposted 'Sentier des Douaniers' (you probably know 'douanes' is 'customs' in French) - runs along the coastline and links-up the beaches of the town centre, Nauzan, the customs house, Platin and Grande Côte. A peaceful walk with a perfect view over the coast and the Gironde, Europe's largest estuary.

The path begins at the end of Rue de l'Océan in St Palais. It's marked in the red and white colours of Grand Walk Number 4 (sentier de grande randonnée N° 4, or GR4).
